About

Pawel Sysiak is a product designer and generalist working across design systems, user research, and AI, focused on improving the way collectives communicate, coordinate, and make sense together. I have 12+ years in product, currently work at Softmax, and a background in art, visual design, research, writing, and entrepreneurship.

Experience

At Plume, I created a design system and led design of apps reaching 1B+ devices. At AI Objectives Institute, I redesigned Talk to the City, an open source AI tool that maps what large groups know and where they disagree, used by Taiwan's Ministry of Digital Affairs. I also worked with Plurality Institute, MoMA Warsaw, FutureAdvisor, JESS3 and BlackRock, among others.

Side projects

I'm always working on a side project or two. Currently, I’m developing my personal wiki, where I try to identify the most impactful knowledge. I explore cognitive biases, mental models, epistemic tools, and build small AI apps for coordination. In 2016 published AI Revolution 101 magazine and have an extensive background in contemporary art.
