I think this may be the most important thing to pay attention to.
Like, you have your expectations about the world, how things work, and then there are things that, in practice, work differently.
I really want to pay attention to these. I think I may be, by default, not as good at spotting them, bc I am coming from a default ethereal-conceptual guy place, so this may be a lot more beneficial to me.
Here is a collection of things that are this way:
- therapy with a person is a lot more powerful vs. self-therapy or therapy with AI
- (certainty: speculation) this may be due to some “magic” things, like what consciousness is doing when looking at other consciousness, maybe not unlike Double Slit Experiment. Is there a consciousness field that does something?
- could this be that this is just a skill of focus, that if you are able to put the same amount of focus, the ai/self therapy would be the same? (like watching a movie in the cinema is better: you bought a ticket so you are less likely to leave, you are with people so u cannot pause, you are locked between people etc. etc.)
- going to a small and dark space improves focus. Like, my focus should be a property of my mind, not environment. (I am watching Jay-Z talking about songwriting. I am on a couch in my home lying down or in a phone booth (bad focus), vs. I went to a dark bathroom (good focus). Same when I am in a large space vs. a phone booth in a coworking space, but darkness and a space that you actually like also add to it (I don’t like phone booths as they are too small).)
