- Way to import in bulk to Anki via .tsv
- Perhaps a good idea is to set the ease factor on 2.2?
Personal notes / calibration
- In practice you often recall things by context not by underlining knowledge. What I mean is the following examples. I think it’s important to think how to counter this tendency.
- my card “What is fourth US amendment?” is more in me head “oh in my cards there is this new one that can pop up next to a question “What’s the reason and “case” that created the Fourth Amendment?” Oh then I remember what is it.
- or it’s easier for me to recall a fact when doing the review than when trying to recall it in the real world eg.: like literally maybe the way it is phrased helps me recall it, or that looking at my software puts my brain in that space that helps me recall it
- Brainstorming solutions:
- [maybe wokring] have more cards from different angles of the problem, to cover more context space, access routes so it’s easier to retrieve it in the wild.
- I think this supports the case of following atomic structure of cards (and more of them)
- When u have a chance of retrieving something in the real world put attention and energy there
- In memory ≠ in active imagination
- when u have a card and u successfully went through all the memory steps. You technically have it in your memory bank. But I don’t think it’s different that having it active in your imagination. Eg.: you are able to recall it but you will not have it as an inspiring thing that pops up in your head during conversation or when you are writing or working on your project. Solutions
- Brainstorming solutions:
- Mark some cards for active imagination and review them quickly in batches, maybe even w/out active recall
